7 Best Zoho CRM Alternatives for Indian Businesses (2026)

We are an authorized Zoho partner. We implement Zoho CRM for clients and we make money when businesses choose it.

So this is an odd article for us to write.

But here is the thing: Zoho is not right for everyone, and pretending otherwise wastes your money and our reputation. We have watched businesses buy Zoho, struggle with it for four months, and go back to a spreadsheet. That is a worse outcome for them than if we had told them upfront to buy something simpler.

So here are the honest alternatives, when each one beats Zoho, and what you actually pay.

Quick answer

  • Want unlimited users, hate per-seat pricing: Kylas — ₹12,999/month flat
  • Want lightweight and simple: NeerSoft CRM or Bigin
  • Want the best free plan: HubSpot
  • Phone-heavy sales team: Freshsales
  • Hundreds of leads daily: LeadSquared
  • Mobile, chat-led selling: Privyr
  • Planning to go global, raising capital: Salesforce

First: when is Zoho actually the wrong choice?

Let us be specific, because “it depends” helps nobody.

When your team will not learn it. Zoho is deep. That depth requires configuration and a learning curve on advanced features. If you have limited technical capacity and nobody who owns the setup, that depth turns from asset into liability. A powerful CRM nobody opens is worth less than a simple one they use.

When you are paying for range you will never touch. Zoho offers a vast set of features you pay for and may never use. If you need a pipeline and follow-up reminders and nothing else, you are subsidising 90% of a product.

When you are scaling headcount fast. Zoho is per-user. Ten people at ₹800–₹1,500 each is ₹8,000–₹15,000 a month. Thirty people is triple. If you are hiring aggressively, flat-rate pricing changes the maths entirely.

When the interface matters to adoption. Zoho’s UI feels dated next to newer competitors. That sounds cosmetic. It is not, if your reps resist opening it.

When your sales happen on a phone, in chat. Zoho assumes a desk. Some teams do not work that way.

If none of these describe you, honestly: buy Zoho. It is the best value in the Indian market and we will happily implement it for you. If one or more do, read on.

The 7 best Zoho CRM alternatives

1. Kylas — best if you hate per-user pricing

Kylas is Pune-built and solves the one problem Zoho cannot: per-seat costs that scale with your hiring. Flat ₹12,999/month, unlimited users. Grow from 10 to 50 people and your bill does not move.

The focus is narrow on purpose — lead management, pipeline, task automation. No bloat.

Where it loses to Zoho: fewer advanced features, less sophisticated AI, fewer integrations. And below about 12 users, ₹12,999 flat is worse value than Zoho’s per-seat pricing. The maths only flips as you grow.

Switch if: you are past a dozen users and cost predictability matters more than feature depth.

Disclosure: we partner with Kylas.

2. NeerSoft CRM — best if you want lightweight and affordable

This is our own product, so weigh the description accordingly.

NeerSoft CRM does the core CRM job and stops there: capture leads, visual pipeline, follow-up reminders, simple automation. Rupee pricing, GST invoices, setup in about a day, leads import straight from your spreadsheet.

Where it loses to Zoho: comprehensively, on depth. No large integration marketplace, no advanced reporting, no deep customisation, no AI assistant. We built lean deliberately, and lean means limits. If you want what Zoho does, buy Zoho — we will implement it.

Switch if: you tried a big CRM, nobody used it, and you need something your team will actually open.

Pricing: see here.

3. Freshsales — best for telesales teams

From Freshworks, an Indian company listed on NASDAQ. Clean interface, implementation averages around 18 days, Freddy AI gives genuinely useful lead scoring.

Its real edge over Zoho is that phone and email are built in — no separate calling subscription. If your team makes 50 calls a day, that is both cheaper and simpler.

Where it loses to Zoho: marketing capability lags, WhatsApp integration is limited on lower tiers, and advanced reporting is thinner.

Pricing: Free tier. Growth around ₹999/user/month, Pro around ₹2,799, Enterprise around ₹4,999.

Switch if: your sales are phone-first.

4. HubSpot — best free plan

HubSpot’s free CRM is genuinely powerful, not a crippled trial. It is strongest when marketing and sales need to live in one system — an area where Zoho requires you to assemble more pieces.

Where it loses to Zoho: the upgrade cliff. Free is excellent; paid starts around ₹1,800/user/month and climbs steeply. Many Indian SMBs build their process on free, grow, and find the next tier unaffordable. Zoho’s paid pricing is far gentler.

Switch if: you are at zero budget and marketing-led. But go in knowing the cliff exists.

5. Bigin by Zoho — best for solo founders

Yes, this is also Zoho. That is the point: Zoho already built the answer to “Zoho is too much.”

Bigin is a stripped-down, pipeline-first CRM from ₹400/user/month, with a free plan. Set up in an afternoon.

Where it loses to Zoho CRM: you will outgrow it. It is designed as a first CRM.

Switch if: full Zoho feels like overkill and you are one or two people. And when you outgrow it, migrating up the Zoho stack is straightforward — which is a genuine advantage over leaving the ecosystem entirely.

6. LeadSquared — best for very high lead volume

Built for businesses drowning in enquiries: EdTech, BFSI, real estate. Hundreds of leads a day, field teams, admission-season spikes. Zoho can be configured for this. LeadSquared is designed for it.

Where it loses to Zoho: price, from around ₹2,500/user/month, and it is heavy for a small team.

Switch if: lead volume is your defining constraint.

7. Privyr — best for mobile, chat-led sales

Built for reps who work from a phone and sell over chat rather than email. If your salespeople live in WhatsApp and rarely open a laptop, Privyr fits how they already work — where Zoho assumes a desk and a browser.

Where it loses to Zoho: deliberately narrow. Not trying to be a full CRM with deep reporting and automation.

Switch if: your team is mobile-first and chat-led.

Disclosure: we partner with Privyr and implement it.

Honourable mention: Salesforce

If you are raising venture capital or expanding overseas, Salesforce is the standard and starting there avoids a painful migration later. Some international partners treat “Salesforce-ready” as a trust signal.

It is expensive, needs configuration expertise, and most Indian SMBs use a fraction of what they pay for. Buy it for where you are going, not where you are.

Which alternative fits you?

Under 3 people: Bigin or HubSpot free.

3–12 people, want simple: NeerSoft CRM or Bigin.

12+ people, cost-sensitive: Kylas. Run the maths.

Phone-heavy: Freshsales.

Chat and mobile-first: Privyr.

Hundreds of leads a day: LeadSquared.

Going global: Salesforce.

None of the above describes you: stay on Zoho. Seriously. It is the best all-round value in this market, and most businesses looking for an alternative actually just need a better implementation.

That last point deserves emphasis. A meaningful share of “Zoho is not working for us” is not a product problem. It is a setup problem — wrong tier, no configuration, no training. Before you migrate everything, it is worth checking whether the tool or the deployment failed.

Before you switch, do this

Diagnose honestly. Is Zoho wrong, or was your setup wrong? Switching CRMs is expensive; fixing an implementation usually is not.

Run a real two-week trial with actual customer data, not test entries.

Check WhatsApp properly. Every CRM claims it. What that means varies — native, third-party, tier-locked, and messaging charges usually apply on top.

Add 18% GST. Every price on this page excludes it.

Confirm the migration path. Your Zoho data exports to CSV and imports into most CRMs. Verify before you commit.

The bottom line

We are a Zoho partner writing about Zoho alternatives, which should tell you something about how we sell.

Zoho CRM is the strongest overall value in India for businesses with the appetite to configure it. But if you are scaling headcount fast, selling from a phone, or you just need something simple your team will open every morning, better options exist.

For the full market picture, we compared the top 10 CRM software in India — Zoho comes first on that list, honestly. For what any of it should cost, see CRM pricing in India. And if you want the lightweight option, that is NeerSoft CRM.

Whichever you pick, we would rather you pick right than pick us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best alternative to Zoho CRM in India?

It depends on why Zoho does not fit. Kylas is best if you want unlimited users at a flat ₹12,999/month. Freshsales suits phone-heavy teams. Bigin or NeerSoft CRM suit small teams wanting simplicity. HubSpot has the best free plan. If none of those reasons apply, Zoho usually remains the best value.

Why do businesses look for Zoho CRM alternatives?

The most common reasons are per-user pricing that scales painfully with hiring, a learning curve that stalls adoption, paying for feature depth they never use, and an interface that feels dated. Notably, many of these are implementation problems rather than product problems.

Is there a cheaper CRM than Zoho in India?

Yes. Bigin by Zoho starts around ₹400/user/month versus Zoho CRM’s ₹800+. For larger teams, Kylas at ₹12,999/month flat becomes cheaper than Zoho past roughly 12–15 users. HubSpot, Zoho and Freshsales all offer free tiers for very small teams.

Should I switch from Zoho CRM or fix my setup?

Check the setup first. A large share of “Zoho is not working” cases are configuration problems — wrong tier, no proper setup, or no team training. Switching CRMs is expensive and disruptive; a corrected implementation is usually cheaper and faster than a migration.

Can I migrate my data out of Zoho CRM?

Yes. Zoho CRM data exports to CSV, which imports directly into most other CRMs. Migration is usually straightforward for contacts and deals, though custom fields and automation rules need rebuilding in the new system.
